I had taken a long hiatus from social media for ab I had taken a long hiatus from social media for about six months and a lot has happened since my last post. So we're going to play catch-up! ⁠ ⁠ At the end of July, I took a 10 day trip to Romania. My mother was born in Bucharest but her family escaped when she was only 2 and she never went back. For years we had toyed with the idea of going together, but that unfortunately didn't happen due to her passing in 2022. I had been putting it off and finally bought a ticket, rented a car, and visited about five cities. It was my first time in Eastern Europe and while I unfortunately never picked up Romanian as a kid, I had a fantastic time!

I'm late to the game, but I was fortunate enough t I'm late to the game, but I was fortunate enough to enjoy the cherry blossom peak bloom a couple weeks ago in #WashingtonDC around the Tidal Basin and Memorials. Already looking forward to next year's blooms! 🌸
